PAYBACK customers can now collect points directly using Facebook
PAYBACK customers and fans can now activate their personal digital coupons on Facebook (<link www.facebook.com/PAYBACK>www.facebook.com/PAYBACK</link>) and thereby collect points even more comfortably than before. The popular coupons from partner companies that come with extra points – and up to 10-fold points in some cases – are therefore now available offline, online, on the PAYBACK app and via social media. This enables them to be activated simply as and when required in the shop, by laptop or by mobile phone. On Facebook, entering the PAYBACK customer number is only necessary once. “For us, the integration of Facebook is another step towards making customer benefits available on all the relevant channels. This allows the customer to decide how, where and when to activate their coupons in order collect more points. With some 750,000 PAYBACK fans, Facebook is an important additional channel for us. Fans can benefit from attractive offers from our partners at the click of a button – without having to change from one medium to another,” says Magnus Schmidt, Director of Digital Marketing at PAYBACK. In 2013, PAYBACK issued 7.7 billion coupons. Some 6.2 billion of these were digital coupons. In Germany in 2013, four coupons have been activated digitally every second. Three million PAYBACK cards are being shown at cash desks every day. PAYBACK customers can collect points in retail store, online and mobile at over 600 companies. Most recently, further companies – REWE, Thalia, Deutsche Telekom, Dehner and Opel – have also joined the programme. The PAYBACK card can be found in around 50 percent of German households and, according to TNS Emnid, is the third most common card in German wallets after the debit and credit cards. More and more PAYBACK customers – currently 3 million – are already using the app.
