Deutsche Telekom and PAYBACK have agreed a strategic cooperation. Telekom will become the exclusive partner for the entire telecommunications sector in Germany’s largest bonus programme. This means that over 20 million PAYBACK customers will now receive points when they conclude a landline or mobile contract (post-paid and prepaid) with Telekom. “This cooperation is an extremely important way for us to open up new customer potential. We are the only company where PAYBACK participants can also collect points,” says Dr. Dirk Wössner, Managing Director of Sales at Telekom Deutschland GmbH.
Continuing, Dr. Wössner adds that his company will use the potential offered by the PAYBACK media platform to the full: "The PAYBACK platform gives us an opportunity to combine reach with personalisation and to operate innovative marketing strategies across all channels."
"Our points will form a crucial link between the PAYBACK blue and the Telekom magenta: The combination of two of the strongest brands in Germany is unique and will bring lots of benefits to our collectors. They can now access telecommunications products of the very highest quality from a single source and collect points at the same time", says Bernhard Brugger, CEO Central Europe at PAYBACK GmbH.
The partnership has been agreed for an initial period of three years and applies to the over 750 Telekom shops, a special free ordering hotline (tel.: 0800 - 77 88 200) in Germany, the online sites <link www.payback.de - external-link-new-window>www.payback.de</link> and <link www.telekom.de/payback - external-link-new-window>www.telekom.de/payback</link> and selected PAYBACK retail partners such as dm-drogerie markt, Real and Aral for prepaid products.
The loyalty programme’s customers will be offered Telekom products via the various communication channels that make up the PAYBACK marketing platform, i.e. printed mailings, e-mail newletters, the PAYBACK app, printed and electronic coupons, the website and Facebook page.
