PAYBACK will be launched in Austria
PAYBACK, the first multi-partner bonus programme, which is already market leader in five countries, will be launched in Austria on 3 May. From the start, the programme will already comprise over 40 well-known companies, including major players like dm drogerie markt and Fressnapf. Customers will also be able to collect points online (via <link www.payback.at>PAYBACK.at</link>) with companies like Austrian Airlines, eBay, Expedia, Media Markt, Saturn, oeticket, OTTO and Universal Versand. BP, Burger King and NORDSEE will join the programme as partners successively from August. “We are extremely happy to have been able to acquire such strong partners for our Austrian launch – partners whose products are of particular relevance to our customers’ daily lives,” explained PAYBACK Austria Managing Director Walter H. Lukner at the launch press conference in Vienna on Tuesday. In Germany, more than 30 million people collect PAYBACK points, and PAYBACK cards are used 4 million times per day. PAYBACK is free of charge and very simple to use. Using just one card or the PAYBACK app, customers can collect points for their purchases from all partner companies, multiply them with coupons and benefit from numerous exclusive offers. “We firmly believe that our Austrian customers, too, will love PAYBACK”, says Harald Bauer, Managing Director of dm drogerie markt in Austria. “In Germany, dm has been an extremely loyal PAYBACK partner since 2000. In surveys, our Austrian customers have repeatedly expressed their desire for a multi-partner programme. We are now fulfilling this wish and also strengthening our popular ‘active beauty Vorteilswelt’ programme through the cooperation with the PAYBACK partner network”, continues Harald Bauer animatedly as he describes the diverse new possibilities for customer communication. “In addition to the card, we offer the practical PAYBACK app. With the app, you can collect points and have your coupons always with you. This is how the bonus programme of the future works” says Bauer. “PAYBACK boasts a wealth of knowledge on how to design attractive bonus programmes and select the right partners. We are now keen to extend our innovative partnership with PAYBACK, which began 2015 in Germany, to Austria,” explains Hermann Karl Aigner, Managing Director of Fressnapf Austria. “We are particularly pleased that we will be able to offer our customers even more relevant services in the future.” “We at BP Austria are also entirely convinced of the value of PAYBACK’s multi-partner approach. Like dm and Fressnapf, we have partnered with PAYBACK in Germany for many years through our sister company Aral, and we also collaborate with PAYBACK in Poland. We recently once again extended our contract in Germany. This is why it makes perfect sense for us to be part of the programme in Austria, too, and we are looking forward to the launch in August,” says Gerlinde Hofer, Head of Country, BP Europa SE/ZN BP Austria. “Our existing BP BonusClub customers in Austria will be able to enjoy a range of new benefits thanks to PAYBACK,” adds Hofer. “We are very happy about our new partnership with PAYBACK. Burger King customers will be able to collect points and benefit from coupons straight from the grill, so to speak. The programme will enable us to sustainably strengthen customer loyalty,” explains Hartmut Graf, Managing Director of TQSR Holding und Development GmbH, Master Franchisenehmer von BURGER KING® in Austria. "The approach of the multi-partner bonus programme is very exciting for NORDSEE, as we have also dealt intensively with the topic of customer loyalty in the past. We are therefore proud to be a partner of PAYBACK in Austria in the near future," says Mag. Alexander Pietsch, Managing Director of NORDSEE Austria. Consumers in Austria have an average of five customer cards each. According to a representative survey (YouGov, n = > 1.000), there is a lot of interest in the concept of a multi-partner bonus programme. Some 88 per cent of respondents stated that a programme comprising several partners sounded very interesting and they would definitely make use of it. Some 87 per cent found the concept more attractive than existing bonus programmes in Austria, 82 per cent said they would shop more frequently at PAYBACK partner companies, 78 per cent would recommend these partner companies to others. Data protection is a top priority at PAYBACK and is among the company’s core values. PAYBACK therefore does not sell any data or forward it to our partners. The data collected in Austria is stored in Germany. PAYBACK’s data privacy measures undergo TÜV (Technical Control Association) inspection and certification. PAYBACK also conducts its own annual audits. Images of the PAYBACK launch in Austria are available for download at <link www.payback.net/at>PAYBACK.net/at</link> in the press section.
