PAYBACK has significantly digitised and mobilised its services and will now present them under the slogan “Corner Shop 2.0” in mid-September at dmexco 2015 in Cologne. “Basically, PAYBACK is just a clever development of the local corner shop: just like the shopkeeper did, we know what customers want and what is relevant to them. We’ve also earned our customers’ trust in the same way. However, with our 27 million customers in Germany and our 7 million PAYBACK app downloads, we are scalable – unlike a corner shop,” says PAYBACK’s Managing Director Dominik Dommick. He goes on to say that online shop growth strategies that focus solely on constantly acquiring new customers have had their day. “It is becoming immensely important to develop the existing customer base, because e-commerce can only maintain its rapid growth with loyal customers. It is precisely because we can reach customers in all areas and via all channels that we are able to provide relevant products and services, as well as the greatest possible ROI for our partners.” As a multichannel marketing platform, PAYBACK combines reach with personalisation and can provide customers with the right service using the right channel at the right time. At dmexco, the Munich-based company will focus on providing information about its online partner model and demonstrate how even the local point of sale can benefit from digitisation. PAYBACK offers a wide range of services via all channels. More than 15 years of expertise, a strong foundation in high street retailing and over 132 million offline mailings every year are combined with 750 million email newsletters and 15 billion digital coupons (2014 total). Every second, 527 coupons are issued in Germany. With over 650 partner companies, PAYBACK.de is the ideal home page for online shoppers and attracts 4.6 million unique visitors a month. The PAYBACK app is one of Germany’s most popular shopping apps. So far this year, 2015 has been the most successful year in the history of PAYBACK. The company has managed to acquire lots of well-known new partners. Among the latest PAYBACK partners are BURGER KING®, FRESSNAPF, REWE and Thalia, plus Lufthansa, Yello Strom and tausendkind as official online partners.
