Strong earthquakes and numerous aftershocks have shaken Southeast Asia, particularly Myanmar and Thailand. The disaster claimed thousands of lives and injured people, the quakes continue and hundreds of people are still missing. Those affected are now in urgent need of humanitarian aid. PAYBACK customers have the opportunity to support the victims of the earthquake disaster by donating PAYBACK points. The equivalent value of the points will go 100 percent to the aid organizations and will be used for the emergency aid that is now needed.
The aid projects were selected in cooperation with PAYBACK's charity partner betterplace. Point donors can decide which specific needs they would like to help finance. The current focus is on projects that provide emergency aid and initial basic supplies - including the provision of medicines, tents, drinking water and food for those affected.
In the past, PAYBACK customers have already provided immense help with their points donations: Since the launch of PAYBACK, regional, national and international aid projects have been supported with points worth a total of more than twelve million euros.
Donate points now in the PAYBACK app (under 'Services, Donations') or at www.PAYBACK.de/spendenwelt (under 'Current disaster').
