From 24 October 2008, cardholders will be able to collect points when booking flights with the low-cost airline Germanwings. PAYBACK will be awarding its members one point for each Euro they spend on a flight. The campaign even kicks off by awarding triple points on all flights. What’s more, points that have already been collected can be redeemed for air ticket vouchers in the PAYBACK rewards shop. “The bonus card offers our customers even more choice”, underlines Thomas Winkelmann, management spokesman for Germanwings, adding: “From now on we offer our customers another reason to fly with our low-cost airline.” “The partnership with Germanwings increases the appeal of our card and is a considerable boost to our successful travel portal <link
So far, Germanwings customers have had the option of joining the Boomerang Club, the airline’s own customer loyalty program. Customers collect Boomerang miles for each flight, and have the option of redeeming the miles for a flight voucher after just eight return flights. This option is now being extended to include PAYBACK. When booking a flight, Germanwings customers will now be able to choose whether to collect PAYBACK points or continue with the Boomerang miles.
