More points at the petrol station: Aral and PAYBACK extend their partnership

 Aral has been cooperating with PAYBACK for over 18 years. Now the largest provider on the German petrol station market and the market-leading bonus programme have extended their successful partnership once again. Around 31 million active PAYBACK users can now reward themselves with points at the 2,400 or so Aral petrol stations - whether refuelling, charging or shopping in shops and car washes at participating locations.

With a wide range of fuels, ultra-fast charging, high-quality convenience shops and an attractive customer loyalty programme, we are making our service station network fit for the future and responding to a wide variety of customer needs.’

Points can be collected using the PAYBACK card or the PAYBACK app, the latter of which has the PAYBACK PAY mobile payment function that allows customers to pay directly at the petrol pump and continue their journey straight away. The PAYBACK app is one of the most popular shopping apps in Germany and is already used by 12.5 million users. Of course, points can also be redeemed directly when paying at the Aral petrol station or for attractive rewards at Aral. The meinAral app can also be linked to the PAYBACK account.

PAYBACK points can be collected and redeemed at Aral petrol stations for all current and future fuels, including the new truck fuel Aral HVO, for charging processes at the more than 3,000 Aral pulse charging points and at participating Aral petrol stations for fresh snacks or coffee specialities in the shop or bistro and for car washes. At present, customers receive one PAYBACK point for two litres of fuel, two kilowatt hours of electricity or €1 in shop sales at participating stations, for example, or even significantly more with coupons. PAYBACK points can be collected at more than 700 partners in Germany. 

As a member of the bp Group, Aral has set itself the goal of significantly expanding its convenience programme. The customer loyalty programme with PAYBACK, the expansion of the shops and investments in modern portal car washes are all part of these activities. Worldwide, bp aims to expand its strategic convenience locations to around 3,500 by 2030.
