Cologne, Munich, May 2012 – Metro subsidiary GALERIA Kaufhof has extended its contract with Germany's leading loyalty programme PAYBACK ahead of schedule to the end of 2016. The two companies joined forces back in 2000 and, since then, Kaufhof has played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the programme as a whole. Today, around 50 percent of households in Germany have a PAYBACK card, while eight out of ten Germans are familiar with the brand. “PAYBACK is one of the most innovative marketing platforms and it offers immense coverage. The programme supports our strategy and enables us to analyse consumer needs and buying patterns more effectively than ever before, which in turn allows us to target our customers even more directly. We look forward to continuing our successful working relationship in the years ahead”, says Claudia Reinery, member of the Executive Board of GALERIA Kaufhof GmbH.
“Our successful marketing platform and the additional new channels of online couponing, deals, Facebook and the PAYBACK app offer our partners the best possible opportunities for performance-oriented multichannel marketing activities”, says Bernhard Brugger, CEO Central Europe at PAYBACK GmbH. “In return, long-term partnerships play a crucial role in maintaining PAYBACK's appeal. We are therefore delighted that GALERIA Kaufhof has chosen to confirm its confidence in our programme by extending its contract with us”. GALERIA Kaufhof follows PAYBACK partners such as WMF, Aral, Dänisches Bettenlager, Depot and Apollo-Optik as another attractive partner company to have extended its contract with PAYBACK by several years in the last few months.
